Refugees experience higher-than-average rates of disability, and when it comes to accessing disability services in Arizona, intersectoral barriers result in fragmented systems that are difficult for them to navigate. In this new report titled Elevating Refugee Perspectives about Access to Disability Services in Arizona, Sonoran Center researchers Julie Armin, PhD; Jacy Farkas, MA, ABD; Sommer Aldulaimi, MD; Suzanne Teeple, JD; and Diba Fallah, MA, highlight ways that disability services may not be accessible to refugees and identified ways to make the service system more accessible.
