About

In the 2020 Arizona Developmental Disabilities Planning Council’s Arizona Priorities Survey Report, individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD)  identified as a top priority “for medical care providers to talk with me in a way I can understand.” More than 75% of these respondents indicated they “want” or “really want” help in stopping others from ignoring their needs.

This project developed short videos and compiled learning materials in collaboration with people with (I/DD) about self-advocacy in health care.
