Tara M. Chico-Jarillo, MPH, is a doctor of public health candidate in Maternal and Child Health at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona (UA). Tara has ten years of experience working with American Indian communities throughout southwest Arizona in many different capacities. Prior to her graduate studies, Tara worked for a tribal child protective service agency in a position that worked to reunite families. Her previous public health experience includes program evaluation and community based participatory research in tribal communities. Since completing the MPH program at the UA, Tara worked for the Center for American Indian Resilience (CAIR) in different capacities which include Co-Director of the Community Engagement and Outreach Core. Currently Tara works for the non-profit organization Zero to Three.
