This summer I am collaborating with colleagues and my advisor. We are examining Resilience related to students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing and who are educated in the public school setting.  I am interested in studying individuals who are deaf and have cerebral palsy in relation to social, cultural and linguisitic barriers and facilitators.  I am also interested in studying individuals who have a hearing loss and additional challenges who are in transition to independent living form high school; in addition to family involvement levels and the role of the family as a facilitator to independent living for individuals with hearing loss as well as individuals with hearing loss and additional challenges.
