Hi! My name is Sarah Robles and I'm a senior majoring in Veterinary Science with a minor in Mexican American Studies. Since being at the University of Arizona, I spent several years being a peer mentor for the CALS college. I worked with the Immigrant Student Resource Center and was part of a great mentorship program where I helped create workshops tailored to students of DACA, undocumented, and refugee status. I intend on going to veterinary school and in order to gain some more animal experience, I'm currently volunteering with Angels in Autism. They provide equine therapy for individuals with an autism spectrum disorder, and I'm happy to be increasing my understanding of working with children with disabilities and equines. I am happy to be part of the Sonoran UCEDD and hope to keep gaining knowledge as a mentor and student.
