I am a first generation Japanese-American who was born and raised in Portland, Oregon.  I am pursuing a double degree in Physiology and Nutrition with a focus in dietetics a the University of Arizona.  Currently, I am working in the Down Syndrome Research Group lab as a research assistant working closely with adolescents with Down syndrome.  After completing my undergraduate studies, I plan to pursue a career as a physician and work on a local and global scale helping underprivileged children and adolescents with disabilities.
