I’ve greatly enjoyed working with the UCEDD ArtWorks artists and staff members. During our events, medical student volunteers and I have had the rare opportunity to make beautiful masterpieces, cultivate our compassion, and learn how to connect with others on a human level. One of the greatest lessons that I’ve learned is that sometimes we make life too complicated, and mentally block ourselves from being in the present.
