As a PhD student in the Department of English, my interests include "The Body" in 20th century British literature, literary representations of dis/ability, masculinity studies, and literary theory; I'm currently researching the relationship between corporeal and cultural trauma in post-WWI Irish poetry.  The trainee experience not only provided me a fresh perspective for my scholarship, but has also increased my awareness as an advocate.
