Graduate - Master of Public Health

Ms. Pines is originally from Miami, Florida, and obtained her BS in Psychology (with minors in Urban Planning and Environmental Science) at the University of Florida in 2008.  It was during this undergraduate coursework that she began working in a lab conducting Autism research, and then sought employment working one-on-one with children with Autism and Cerebral Palsy to gain more “hands on” work in the disability field. After receiving her B.S., she worked directly with the former head of the Office on Disability at the Department of Health and Human Services in the private sector in Washington, D.C. on various disability initiatives; including a Traumatic Brain Injury among returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans project. In December 2013, she will graduate from the University of Arizona with a Masters in Public Health.  She is an avid hiker/backpacker in her spare time.
