My career goals are to become a clinical health psychologist, and to work with underprivileged communities along the U.S./Mexico border. My research interests include health disparities, health promotion, and the psychosocial aspects of cancer. Being a person with a visual impairment, I understand how difficult it can be to overcome obstacles related to health adversity and I hope to professionally help individuals address barriers hindering their daily lives.
