Mine Egbatan is a second year PhD student in Sociocultural Anthropology. She was previously a PhD student in Sociology at Koç University, İstanbul/Turkey before moving to Tucson. She considers herself as an activist feminist working with gender-based civil society groups in Turkey. Her research interests are disability studies and gender. She is a member of the Association of Women with Disabilities, located in Ankara/Turkey.
