Hello everyone! My name is Ana Fernandez, and I'm a senior at the University of Arizona. I'm majoring in Medicine with minors in Spanish and Biochemistry, and I'm also pursuing a certificate in Developmental Disabilities. I was born in Tucson but grew up in Magdalena, a small town in Mexico just an hour from the border. I'm deeply passionate about creating more inclusive and accessible healthcare and educational environments. After graduation, I aspire to become a primary care physician, with a focus on addressing health disparities and supporting my community, particularly in rural areas where care is most needed. I'm excited to be part of this training program, as it will enhance my understanding of developmental disabilities and help me provide more comprehensive and compassionate care to my future patients.
