Join the Sonoran Center's Native Center for a special screening of 7th Generation and Remember The Children. This is a special extended event to screen and discuss with the award-winning films directed by our administrative affiliate Jim Warne (Oglala Lakota).
7th Generation: Depicts how the former football star and Native activist is working to support tribal communities in blazing the path to success in 21st-century mainstream America while holding fast to tribal cultural ways.
Remember The Children: Depicts there were over 400 US government funded and church run, Indian Boarding Schools. 1000's of children died of abuse and neglect, most of them left in unmarked graves. This is our story of The Rapid City Indian Boarding School.
