I am currently a senior at the University of Arizona majoring in Family Studies and Human Development with a Pre-Health and Spanish minor. I grew up in San Luis, Arizona, a rural border town to Mexico where I was raised bilingual. My goals are to go to medical school and become a primary care physician. After completing my studies, I want to go back to my hometown and help underserved populations and rural areas. I joined UCEDD to gain knowledge on how to be a better professional to help, serve and support adequately all future patients. I am very excited to work with UCEDD through the Diversity fellowship and learn more about developmental disabilities in border communities.
