Certificate in Developmental Disabilities

I am a senior majoring in Speech, Language and Hearing sciences with minors in Special Education and Psychology. For the past three summers I have worked as a program instructor for high school students with developmental disabilities at Scottsdale Training and Rehabilitative Services (STARS). I am currently a research assistant in Dr. Darling-White's Motor Speech Research Lab, which aims to develop evidenced-based interventions to improve communicative participation in children with cerebral palsy. After graduation I hope to pursue my masters in Speech Language Pathology with a focus in speech and language disorders in children with developmental disabilities. The Sonoran UCEDD certificate program has been truly invaluable. It has provided me with knowledge and experiences that have prepared me for my future in the field of developmental disabilities.
