"What I Want for My Life" Webinar - Career Advancement: Sustaining Employment and Building a Career Path

Led by self advocates and a mentor, this panel discussion will focus on two employment areas: success in your current job and building a career path. It will provide strategies on getting the support needed for job success, especially when times feel stressful, tasks change, or if assistance is needed in making connections and feeling accepted. The second portion will focus on building a career path to reach future employment goals, advocating for moving forward, and learning from panelists on what and who helped when others said their goal may not be realistic.

ABOUT THE SERIES

The "What I Want for My Life" webinar series, led and presented primarily by self advocates, explores the broad range of self determination experiences and strategies through the employment lens. The employment journey from transition, continuing education, career advancement throughout the employment years, building relationships, and becoming a self advocacy leader compose the topics. This is series is for people with disabilities/self advocates, their supporters and family members, providers, support coordinators, teachers, and rehabilitation counselors.
