I am a senior pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a focus in Health Systems Theory and Practice. I aspire to obtain my Master of Public Health in Public Health Policy and Management after completion of my Bachelor's degree. I found my way to the Sonoran UCEDD through my interests in learning about healthcare for individuals with disabilities. When my son acquired his disabilities from a traumatic brain injury, I was introduced to this wonderful world of people who have differing abilities and have learned so much. There is still more to learn though, as I would like to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to lead programs or clinics for individuals with disabilities. Interning with the Medical Home Project with Dr. Bassford is a great opportunity for me to learn more about the healthcare for adults with disabilities and program planning skills.
