Join a webinar on the Child Protection System with Elizabeth Lightfoot, Director and Distinguished Professor of Social Policy at Arizona State University School of Social Work. Lightfoot's research focuses on disability policy, child welfare, aging, disparities, and abuse, influencing national policies.
Learning objectives:
- Participants will be able to describe two explanations of the over-representation of parents with disabilities in child protection: the “presumption of unfitness bias” and the “exposure hypothesis”.
- Participants will be able to explain to explain the differences between individual supports for individuals with disabilities and parental supports for parents with disabilities.
- Participants will be able to list 4 best practice tips for working with parents with disabilities.
