The community is invited to attend Backpacks & Boosters: A Community Health and Wellness Fair from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023. 

  • FREE School Supplies 
  • FREE COVID-19 Vaccines
  • FREE Parking (MAP
  • ACCESS to Community Resources

The fair will feature family fun activities, such as a designated coloring station, and free summer treats provided by eegee’s. University of Arizona mascot Wilbur will also join the festivities and will be available for photos from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.!

Free backpacks, school supplies, hygiene kits and take-home COVID-19 home tests will be available while supplies last. The Department of Family and Community Medicine Mobile Health Program will be administering  free COVID-19 vaccines for people 6 years and older, as well as Tdap vaccine for those who need it.

Open to all and designed with accessibility for the disability community in mind, the fair will be wheelchair accessible, fragrance free, include ASL and Spanish interpreters, and feature a sensory-friendly entrance to the vaccine clinic. 

Over 20 local community organizations are expected as vendors, including the Autism Society of Southern Arizona, Southern Arizona Network for Down Syndrome, Sickle Cell Foundation of Arizona, First Things First, and the University of Arizona Center for Rural Health.
