
Collaborative Approach to Sexual Violence Response
A Community Partnership Addressing Sexual Violence Against People with I/DD
A collaborative effort led by the University of Arizona Sonoran Center for Excellence in Disabilities. Our goal is to build on existing community efforts and expertise to address sexual violence against individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
The objectives center around public awareness, education and training, policy analysis, legislative efforts, and workforce development. Partnerships serve as the core of these efforts.

Information Session
The project team hosted an information session for potential partners to learn more about the project and discuss the possibility of working together to prevent sexual violence against people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The information session included an overview of the project’s goals, the unique needs of the I/DD community, and ways to raise awareness.
