Interdisciplinary Approach to Disability in Professional Practice Intern
I am currently a student at Arizona State University, where I am pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. My concentration is Policy, Administration, and Community Practice (PAC), and I am especially passionate about the disability rights movement and about improving mental health care systems. I have a BA in Religion from Davidson College. After college, I worked in the legal services field for 7 years; most recently, I was a legal advocate at Disability Rights California (which is California's Protection and Advocacy agency). Now that I am back in my home state of Arizona, I am excited to continue working with disability communities here! Through my internship with Sonoran UCEDD, I am participating in Arizona's Employment First(link is external) initiative, which focuses on increasing employment opportunities for all people who have disabilities.
