Laura is graduating in December of 2017 with a degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Rehabilitation and a minor in Psychology. She will be graduating with honors and is currently working on her honors thesis by conducting research on a social skills intervention with high school age students with disabilities and social skills deficits. Laura loves working with young children especially, currently working with children with Autism providing early intervention services. Laura hopes to continue to work with early intervention in the future. She will be applying to Occupational Therapy programs in the coming years as her next step to getting involved in early intervention. She hopes the AUCD network can help her meet more people with similar interests and is excited for the opportunities in her future.
