Certificate in Developmental Disabilities
I am a senior studying Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with an emphasis in Development and Ageing with a minor in American Sign Language. I formerly worked in the Child Cognition Lab under Dr. Rebecca Gomez. I am currently working on my Honors Thesis looking at sign language processing in the brain with Dr. Gomez. I heard about the Sonoran UCEDD and the Developmental Disabilities Certificate Program when discussing what I wanted to do post-graduation with one of my advisors. Post-graduation, I hope to go back to school and obtain my doctorate in occupational therapy. Through the Sonoran UCEDD I hope to gain more knowledge and exposure to the disability community.
