Certificate in Developmental Disabilities
I am a senior studying Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with an emphasis on aging and development. My passion for this area of study began at a young age because I grew up with an older sibling who has cerebral palsy. I was always present at her doctor appointments, therapies, and even school meetings. Experiencing it all along her side has provided me with a unique perspective of life and that is why I plan to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist in the near future.
The certificate program has allowed me to further understand and advocate for the disability community with greater knowledge. I plan to apply all of this knowledge and the experiences to my current studies and my future career.
