I am a junior in the NSCS and MCB Majors at the University of Arizona with an emphasis in Aging and Development. My minors are in Math, Psychology, and Biochemistry. When I was growing up, I was close to many people with developmental disabilities at my school, including autism and down syndrome.  I am currently involved in the Neuroscience of Reinforcement Learning and Decision Making (NRD) Lab and I work in the SALT center as a tutor for Math and Science. I was introduced to UCEDD through my emphasis for my major and I am grateful that I learned about this opportunity to help complement my current studies. This program has granted me the opportunity to expand on and incorporate my knowledge of developmental disabilities and how to best support those with developmental disabilities. My goal for the future is to go to medical school and become a Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrician, where I can use my knowledge from the UCEDD education to better support and care for my patients.
