Interdisciplinary Approach to Disability in Professional Practice Intern

Hello! My name is Hannah Jordan, I am currently a senior at the University of Arizona, double majoring in Studio Art and Psychology. After graduation, I plan to continue my education through a masters program in Art Therapy. My long term goal is to research how art and the creative process can benefit people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am especially interested in how art can support cognitive control, balance, emotional regulation, communication, and self expression. Through the Sonoran Center, I am helping assist adults in the IDD community with sharing their stories and experiences. I am looking forward to learning from the people around me, growing my skills, and seeing where this experience takes me!
