Join us for Family Caregiving Month, this month’s webinar will focus on kinship and caregiving in Native Communities. Caregiving is aiding someone (child-adult) who needs help with their daily activities, whether as a paid professional or an unpaid family member. According the 2021-2022 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Data, 1 in 4 American Indians/Alaska Natives are caregivers, with a majority women caring for a parent or parent-law. The webinar will provide information on the state of caregiving in Native American communities and how kinship provides a key component in providing culturally relevant care.
